Custom Vendor Portal

Our client recently undertook a large project to meet their Modern Slavery Reporting requirements detailed in the Federal Modern Slavery Act. Initially they used pre-existing software, such as CM3 and Survey Monkey, as well as creating internal process to accomodate the workflow required to meet these regulations.

The client undertook a 6 month trial with some existing vendors and soon realised that the workflow and processes were not fit for purpose. A lot of information such as, who completed the audit, which vendors had completed the survey’s, vendor’s who licenses had expired, simply wasn’t captured or was hard to gather.

After having a discussion with Sneeknet we proposed a solution to create a custom vendor portal that would:

• Be web based and mobile friendly.
• Integrate with their existing Azure Platform and Microsoft Single Sign On (SSO).
• Capture and manage the data of 1000+ Vendors.
• Store documentation relating to the Vendors licenses and SWIMS.
• Create a custom interface that allows or customer to create custom survey’s with specialised components.
• Create an administration workflow that allows the client to review and audit the vendors submission as well as selecting which Vendors are approved.
• Output a audit file for each Vendor that can be used as evidence if required by the Government.

We had 3 months to develop this system and invite the first Vendors to begin recording their details and completing the surveys.

Despite the tight timeframe we used agile development practises as well as frequent meetings with the client. This enabled us to create and tailor the product so that our client would end up with exactly what they needed.

The project was a success and has allowed our client to be more efficient and agile in a competitive market place.
